My Hemp Protein Superpower Smoothie Secret [Full Meal Replacement]

In my first article, I mentioned my hemp smoothie and had an overflow of messages for the recipe.  Due to the combinations of vitamins, minerals, nutrients and protein found in these ingredients, this smoothie recipe is a full meal replacement – And a great way to start your day!

Prep Time: 7 minutes

Makes 16 oz

Materials: measuring cup, measuring spoons, blender

Ingredients:

(3) tablespoons Hemp Protein Power (15g protein)

Hemp Protein is an organic superfood and provides the essential fatty acids (EFAs) omega-3 and omega-6,amino acids, arginine and histidine, required for growth, and it is a good source of branch-chained amino acids, needed for repair and growth of lean body tissue. I prefer the Nutiva brand.

(1) scoop Simone Energy drink

This cancer fighting energy combo is full of your necessary proteins, minerals and nutrients for the day. No caffeine, naurine, or guarana. It includes Vitamin A, B12, C, D, E, Thiamine, Riboflavin B2, niacin B3, Vitamin B6 folate, biotin, pantothenic acid B5, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, and has an alkaline ph level of 7.5. I having been using this since I was about ten years old and prefer vanilla. You can read more and purchase Simone formula here. (Simone contains less than 2% of whey protein. To make this a purely vegan recipe, simply leave out this ingredient. )

(1) teaspoon Coconut Oil

Saturated fats not only increase the healthy cholesterol (known as HDL cholesterol) in your body, but also help convert the LDL “bad” cholesterol into good cholesterols. By Increasing the HDL in the body, it helps promote heart health and lower the risk of heart disease. The fatty acids can boost brain function and have powerful medicinal properties. I recommend pure, non-GMO, cold pressed.

(1) frozen Banana

I generally peel and freeze them the evening before. Bananas are naturally free of fat, cholesterol, and sodium. This serving includes: Vitamin B6 – .5 mg, Manganese – .3 mg, Vitamin C – 9 mg, Potassium – 450 mg, Dietary Fiber – 3g, Protein – 1 g, Magnesium – 34 mg, Folate – 25.0 mcg, Riboflavin – .1 mg, Niacin – .8 mg, Vitamin A – 81 IU, Iron – .3 mg /110 calories, 30 grams of carbohydrate and 1 gram of protein.

(1) teaspoon Chia seeds

Chia seeds are rich in polyunsaturated fats, especially omega-3 fatty acids, high in fiber, antioxidants, and minerals. 

(1) teaspoon Coconut flakes, sweetened or unsweetened (optional)

Coconut flakes are a good source of zinc, iron, protein, fiber and supplies key vitamins and minerals. They add incredible flavor, but use in small quantities to avoid sugar intake.

(2) tablespoons creamy organic almond butter

Healthy Fats and Fiber. Almond butter offers cardiovascular benefits because of its fiber and fat content. Each serving of almond butter contains 18 grams of fat, made up primarily of unsaturated fatty acids. These fats improve your blood cholesterol levels to combat cardiovascular disease, and also provide energy.

(1/2) cup hemp milk or Almond Milk (Click for Instructions to Make Your Own)

Almond milk is low in fat, but high in energy, proteins, lipids, fiber, nutrients and minerals, including: calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin B6, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folate, and a great source of vitamin E, all of which are essential for a healthy body.

(1/4) cup frozen Almond Meal (Click for Instructions to Make Your Own)

Almond meal is gluten free, low in carbohydrates, high in fiber and an excellent source of protein.

(1/2) teaspoon organic vanilla extract

(1/8) teaspoon Pink Himalayan salt/ Sea Salt – optional

(1  1/2) cups of ice

 

Instructions:

1- Put the banana in the blender and mix with milk, almond butter, vanilla and coconut oil.

2- Once it is a creamy consistency, add the chia, almond meal, coconut flakes,

3- Evenly Mix in both the Super Energy powder and Hemp Protein Powder.

4- Add a dash of salt for flavor. (optional)

4- Blend with Ice & Enjoy!
